Elliot Smith cover song HELP!!

I was in Borders the other day and I heard a beuatiful cover of Elliot Smith's "Alameda" (at least I tink that's the title) sung by a woman with a beautiful voice, that sounded a bit like Jolie Holland. I was going to ask at the counter but after it they played "Mack The Knife," so I assuemd it was some kind of XM deal rather than something they were actually playing in the store. Who is this and where is it from?

Madeleine Peyroux covered "Between the Bars" if that's what you're thinking of...

Amy Annelle also does a version of "Half Right."

Petra Haden and Bill Frisell cover 'Satellite' (quite nicely too) on the imaginatively-titled 'Petra Haden & Bill Frisell' album which came out earlier this year.
