i always thought she could have been so much more than a one-off novelty jackson sibling.

So classic.

I can still recall some drag queen doing a Rebbie tribute on the Jackson Family theme night at Trannyshack. It was magical.

Drew Daniel (Drew Daniel), Monday, 30 May 2005 07:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Probably my favouritest song by a Jackson who isn't Michael!

Myonga Von Bontee (Myonga Von Bontee), Monday, 30 May 2005 07:47 (twenty-one years ago)

has this got the brilliant michael jackson penned"'fly away"?
now i have the original thanks to the "bad" cd re-release.
i nearly bought this after hearing the title track.
can we share mp3's on winmx ?

jermayne, Monday, 30 May 2005 11:52 (twenty-one years ago)

So classic. When "Control" was first released, I confused Janet with Rebbie!

Alfred Soto (Alfred Soto), Monday, 30 May 2005 14:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes this song is amazing from the industrial noise at the beginning, to the bizarre sexual metaphors, to the amazing production of the sound.

This song! I agree it's a winner and I haven't heard it in almost two decades -- and it was barely on the radio at the time in my neck of the woods. But the chorus, man, that sticks to you like glue.

i can ysi an mp3 of it.

HERESY

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 31 May 2005 04:41 (twenty-one years ago)

(I tease, and thanks!)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 31 May 2005 04:41 (twenty-one years ago)

i am eternally fascinated by itunes -- i brought up "centipede" to play and the songs that followed were (in order) "change" by killing joke, "chinese revenge" by koto," and "chop suey" by system of a down. and now, "classical gas" by my hero mason williams.

The Pinup Girls of YANK (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 31 May 2005 04:59 (twenty-one years ago)

that wasn't even random play!

The Pinup Girls of YANK (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 31 May 2005 04:59 (twenty-one years ago)

ahem, and "come and get your love" by real mccoy.

Totally classic. When my iPod crashed a few months ago I lost it. Someone repost?

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Friday, 16 November 2007 16:07 (eighteen years ago)

that video has some sick The Last Dragon type effects

jaxon, Friday, 16 November 2007 17:39 (eighteen years ago)

Don't just say it, link it.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 16 November 2007 17:41 (eighteen years ago)

This was on the jukebox at the local pizza place back in my college days. A friend once played it five times in a row. I think she was trying to clear the place.

Love this song so much. Somehow i NEVER HEARD THIS ON THE RADIO even though I was a heavy listener when it came out. Wife showed it to me last year, so so awesome.

I'm guessing that opening industrial noise is a library sound that came with the Fairlight, it appears in different form on Jean-Michel Jarre's 'Wooloomooloo' & Revolting Cocks' 'No Devotion'.
