Will Isotope 217 ever make another album?

I thought the first album was very good and Utonian Automatic is a part of my personal canon. I've always staunchly defended both of these albums against anyone who dismisses it as watered-down electic Miles, and even the noodly mess that was I Walkman has a couple of great moments (the first track, and the "I'm fit to get my party on" bit). I've always assumed that the group was kind of decimated by the poor reception of that album, maybe pulled apart by creative differences, and also by the members' various other projects -- especially considering that three are full-time members of the relatively successful Tortoise.

Still, I'd like to hear more from these guys, though it's been an awfully long time and looks doubtful at this point.

i used to love the fuck out of those first albums, but i don't really see a place for them in what's going on in music right now unless they completely change what they were doing

A lot of people don't even seem to think Tortoise is "relevant" anymore. I thought the response to It's All Around You was unfairly underwhelming/underwhelmed. It's a very good album, even if it doesn't match their best. I thought Standards also didn't get enough attention though, and the last one wasn't even as good as that.
