Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 31 May 2005 16:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd do a Phil Collins type thing to fly around and attend the Placebo, Cure and a-ha sets.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 31 May 2005 16:17 (twenty-one years ago)

ive heard that these concerts are free. if so, how do they raise money? (perhaps im missing something)

that and good god does the philly lineup suck

JD from CDepot, Tuesday, 31 May 2005 16:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I like how some of the lineups clearly are the result of shoehorning. "Okay, we can put the Kaiser Chiefs on in Philly because they're American...oh wait." (And Tim McGraw in Rome? Did I miss something?)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 31 May 2005 17:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Brandenburg Gate, Berlin
Peter Maffay

Is that how Germans pronounce Peter Murphy?

joseph cotten (joseph cotten), Tuesday, 31 May 2005 17:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahah.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 31 May 2005 17:02 (twenty-one years ago)

ve heard that these concerts are free. if so, how do they raise money?

They're not about raising money this time. They're about raising awareness of the issues, I believe.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 31 May 2005 17:05 (twenty-one years ago)

The London show is set up for a devastating You Got Served style selfless giving face-off between Bono and Sting.

The London show is set up for a devastating You Got Served style selfless giving face-off between Bono and Sting.

I think they'd name the all-star band the Circle Jerks if the name weren't already taken.

Cunga (Cunga), Tuesday, 31 May 2005 17:18 (twenty-one years ago)
