diedre mousedropping and a quarter (Dave225), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 12:20 (twenty-one years ago)

There's only one "Hey Hey Hey Hey" in that Massive Attack song

The 'hey hey hey hey' occurs twice after each 'and now I've got to know much more' and again when it's scratched up. and again, at the end.

Sociah T Azzahole (blueski), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 12:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Sociah T Azzahole (blueski), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 12:22 (twenty-one years ago)

The Motown nods upthread put me in mind of "Don't Know Much," by Sam Cooke.

(The problem with it is that it is actually entitled "Wonderful World," and as such risks confusion with the Louis Armstrong song with the similar title that is nowhere near as good a song kthxbye.)

The Police - Many Miles Away (I knew a kid who had written that on his mixtape.)

diedre mousedropping and a quarter (Dave225), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 12:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I remember back in college hearing the Venga Boys song "We're Going to Ibiza" at a party and thinking they were saying "we're going to eat pizza." When I searched for it on Napster I found plenty of hits under "we're going to eat pizza," so I was not alone in this misunderstanding. I guess I should have realized that I had it wrong based on the rest of the lyrics being about going back to the island or something.
