what one person estimates as 32,000 45s from all eras, all genres for sale. The owner is the guy who produced "Morse Code of Love" by the Capris. He says you'll need a moving truck to haul them all out.

I saw that the other nite on ebay. it made me drool. and he lives where my parents live! same town. maybe they could spot me 6 or 7 grand and haul a truck to my island hideaway.

I feel bad for the guy...he obviously has a lot of attachment to much of this collection, and he's not getting anywhere NEAR the amount that he should for it. $5000 is worth maybe 1/8 of this collection. If I were him I'd take the whole thing off and try my luck somewhere else.

he used to sell from an ad, not through a storefront.

I did think it was odd that he'd do this on ebay and not through the dealer connections he has. His insistence on downplaying the value is also kind of strange.

anyone else wonder what his comic book collection must be like?

holy crap. i was about to bid $12,500 but then I remembered that my record player's broken.

by the way, -- in the "member questions" section some guy asked him if he has any Skrewdriver 45's in the lot, and would he be willing to sell him those separately.

His answer--"I won't sell anything separately and I doubt that I have any Skrewdriver records." for some reason I laughed out loud at his response.

if you bought these and listened to them non stop for 12 hours a day it would take about 411 days to get to the end (if you estimate 4mins as the average length of a side)(which is prob too much)

wow, not even 10 grand. what a haul. there was a story on this in today's new york times. the easiest thing to do would be to sell them in lots of a 100 on ebay and stick one good record in every lot. that way people would bid and help you get rid of the crap. i'm jealous though. i would love to dig thru all those boxes. your eyes would glaze over after the 50th country box though.
