Bump. Anyone?

I really like it, and I'm thinking that it's recent(ish) because of the flange effect (i.e. sounds french) and the drums sound like a loop. Is that vocal that comes in at the end part of a different track?

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 29 July 2005 16:06 (twenty years ago)

No, the vocal is from the same track. I think I even have this track somewhere, I just can't place it. For some reason I keep thinking it's Freeform Five.

I can't get the link to work, repost maybe?

I'm pretty sure that the vocal it's going into ("wa-ah-ah-aaaahhhh") is Planet Funk's "Inside All the People," although the start of it is not exactly the same. A remix of that track, perhaps?

Brittle, thank you! I now know what it is, it's Planet Funk's "Inside All The People [Harvey's Big Producer Mix]." I was just listening to it a week ago, hence the nagging in my brain.

Excellent.

ten years pass...

I have a couple tracks I would like to id:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7suptYrxDk#t=23m33s

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7suptYrxDk#t=48m22s

Could anyone help me with either of these? They're from around 95/96.

Hmm, It didn't jump to the time in my embed. One track is at 23:33 and the other is at 48:22.

four years pass...

Alright, well the first record is called 'Groove It' by UBQ Project. I'm still trying to ID the other. Here's a better link to listen to it. It's probably from 1996, and it sampled 'Goin' Up In Smoke' by Eddie Kendricks, and 'You Ain't Really Down' by Status IV.

I have been trying to ID this for literally decades now, so if anyone could help, or point me to a resource that might help, I would really appreciate it.
