what's wrong with a little nostalgia now and then? (forget for the moment that i purchased illmatic only 2 years ago). sometimes you feel like boring rap and don't want to listen to mf doom! "the come up" is out now i think, i like it, standard premo stuff but pretty nonetheless. i think i've heard the title track too - whatever it was, it was similarly pleasing in that warm and soft mid-90s way. it's going to be good, i hope.

also, if you've missed it, you should check out "serious", which has been floating around for a good while now, i think it's from "lost tapes 2" - salaam remi squeezes one more hot beat outta apache, and the az and nas verses are super. it's nearly as hot as "made you look".

"Serious" is ridiculous. It was gonna be on the last Nas album but got cut so Nas let A.Z have it but it seems it hasn't made this either. Sample clearance is a bitch.

"The magic hour" with C.L Smooth is pretty fresh too as are "the come up", "chillin'" and "never change". Ghostface and Slick Rick verses are reason enough to get me anticipating this as much as the new Black Rob album.

I love me some "doe or die" lp and "s.o.s.a".ep.

TS :

Best AZ/Nas track : Life's a bitch or mo' money mo' murder..
