I heard from one of his old bandmates that Ryan Adams has been doing a lot of heavy drugs and is making a stoner rock noise record for Sub Pop. Can anybody confirm or deny?

Last I heard, he started his own record label called Pax American and has released some stuff on it, though is still contracted to Lost Highway. Either way, Pitchfork's got a new interview with him that I just found when checking this out.
