"Got A Hold On Me" is bouncy and fresh. How's the rest?

It looks like no one picked this one up.

i have this lp but can't remember a thing past the single. In any case it's safe to say it needed more Lindsey Buckingham.

That's generally the problem.

I've always been very lukewarm on Christine McVie -- like, I could've cared less whether she was there or not. But then again I felt her presence was sorely missed on the Say You Will, so...

She was by far the best singer and most reliable songwriter, all of which, I suppose, make for dull listening over the course of 40 minutes.

is this the album you're talking about? supposedly there's a break that's been sampled a few times on it. meaning, it's probably a dollar record but you can find it in specialty stores for 10-20. lame

No, no – 1984's eponymous album, for which she already had the nom de guerre McVie.

It's a very good album. "Love Will Show Us How", "One In A Million" and "Ask Anybody" are also really great songs. The rest is filled with good pop songs as well. Wonderful special guests include Lindsey and Mick, Eric Clapton, and Steve Winwood. Todd Sharp helped co-write a few tracks and drummer Steve Ferrone is just solid on every track he is on.

I know there's a 1970 lp under her maiden name that I thought was supposed to be pretty great. Has been a long time since I heard it though.

Bought this for $10 (at a shop where most records you'd want were $20+) not really knowing anything about it - but I'd told my fiancée earlier in the day she was my favorite songwriter in Fleetwood Mac, seemed like a sign. This is delightful. Hooks for days!
