it's big.. but it doesn't count ipod plays so it means nothing.

it bugs me that it only collates ipod info if you keep it on auto-sync. why.

for me it means something since i don't have an ipod synched here at work. i knew i was backlogged, but didn't think it was that much.

4000 songs for me.

Misleading also because it doesn't count a song as having been played unless it plays completely. I have listened to "Hollaback Girl" about 1,984 times at the request of my daughter, but I usually switch to another song right before it's over. I wish it counted a song as "played" if it exceeds, say, 75% of the length or something. Because I'd be interested in knowing what I listen to most, even if it's not the whole song.

Yeah, I wish that, too, sometimes. Audioscrobbler counts a song if it's played either 2:00 or half the song, whichever comes first. Then again, I've also been known to switch to another song within the last few seconds precisely because I don't want it to count. (Usually songs I'm reviewing.)

3193 Songs, 8 days, 14 hours, 39 minutes, 18 seconds. However, I reset all my playcounts to zero just under a year ago. Why I did this I do not know.

3763 songs. Nine days, seven hours, 57 minutes, and fifteen seconds. The oldest unplayed song I have is from January, 2003: A 6:27 live version of "Down By the River" by Uncle Tupelo.

how many gigs is that? whoa.

s1ocki (slutsky), Friday, 12 August 2005 03:11 (twenty years ago)

Doesn't it also only count deliberate plays as opposed to random plays?

Hurting (Hurting), Friday, 12 August 2005 03:17 (twenty years ago)

i think it does count random plays, but it is confusing with the way it only counts songs that have played right through. i'm a bit manic with the fastforward button when i get sick of longer songs.
