Grime Producers: Evolution of the Genre

Hi, ILM.

I wanted to try to create a comprehensive list of the evolution of grime through how the sound has changed and evolved since its conception. I love the genre and have read most of the other threads on it, but there is little that states clearly how production has changed and I'm more interested in the music than the majority of MC's.

I will list my favourite producers and hopefully some more knowledgeable ILM'ers can fit them into a timescale, show the importance of how their sound changed the scene and add many others that I may not know of.

If anyone is still interested...

Dizzee, Wiley, Danny Weed, Wonder, Skepta, Target, Jammer, Sticky, Terrah Danjah, Davinche, Jon E Cash, Lethal B, Rapid.

These are the best from what I've heard up to this point, though there are sure to be at least a few I've forgotten, plus there are many tracks I don't know who produced. Examples of their best work also appreciated.

Thank You.

been listening to this mr mitch album. not really sure about it tbh - im all for grime producers expanding the idea of the music but um, this doesnt seem so much of an expansion as a kind of departure. ive also just had enough of this kind of gentle melancholy stuff in general which probably doesnt help.
