The new Lushlife full-length project, 'West Sounds’ has just been leaked onto the Internet.

Em-cee/Producer Lushlife reworks the Beach Boys 'Pet Sounds'
with acapellas and instrumentals from Kanye West's 'The College Dropout.' This is a long way from
your average quick cut & paste/mash-up effort, with additional live instrumentation and extra verses from Lush himself. Check it out... it works!

‘West Sounds’ is available for FREE download at http://www.kanyewestsounds.com/ with full artwork provided by graf legend Slug Won.  Download your own copy of ‘West Sounds’ now and help spread the word about http://www.kanyewestsounds.com/ !

PAZZ AND JOP #1

deej.., Monday, 15 August 2005 17:15 (twenty years ago)

Wouldn't you get better results by inhaling helium and then singing 'I Just Wasn't Made For These Times' over the backing to 'Slow Jamz'?

BARMS, Monday, 15 August 2005 17:15 (twenty years ago)

Not good.

joseph cotten (joseph cotten), Monday, 15 August 2005 17:22 (twenty years ago)

This is going to be bad but not as bad as the Jay-Z/Metallica mash up.

Voodoo Child, Monday, 15 August 2005 17:26 (twenty years ago)

FOR THOSE OF YA'LL WHO WEAR FANNYPACKS

Ben Folds' rapper, Monday, 15 August 2005 17:46 (twenty years ago)

Yo, what's good people?

Just rollin through to show you that hip-hop gonna rival any music for straight up artistry, whether it's the rock/pop of the Beatles or it's that harmonious Jonas named "Brian Wilson."

Anyway, you know whos got the rhymes, backpacks AND the Benzes... like no musician ever before nahmeean...

That's your boy...

Kanye

Kanye West (Confounded), Monday, 15 August 2005 17:47 (twenty years ago)

I'm actually getting into this mash up. It's not bad.

I think it's my top 3 mash up albums that came out

1. Jay-Z/The Beatles - The Grey Album
2. The Beastie Boys/The Beatles - The Beastles
3. Kanye West/The Beach Boys - West Sounds

Alright!

I'm actually getting into this mash up. It's not bad.

haha EP predicted this.

deej.., Monday, 15 August 2005 17:54 (twenty years ago)

I would actuallu like to see someone Mash Up the Zombies. They could get some good mellow sounds from them.

Voodoo Child, Monday, 15 August 2005 17:57 (twenty years ago)

What if they took Kanye West's voice and somehow put it in a bottle? And if you bought this bottle, you could listen to Kanye any time you wanted to, just by holding it up to your ear?

That would be magical.

I would totally buy that.

beatles fan, Monday, 15 August 2005 18:04 (twenty years ago)

The only mashup I think I could get excited about at this point would be someone putting those Will-Farrell-as-Robert-Goulet-doing-rap-songs vocal takes over really old Dr. Dre beats from like 1992, and that would probably only last about 2 drunken hours.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 15 August 2005 18:11 (twenty years ago)

That sounds really Un-Funny. I would be like "Well, that sketch is funny, but those mash-up's will only be funny for 5 seconds".

Voodoo Child, Monday, 15 August 2005 18:16 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, well you're the guy that likes this crap.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 15 August 2005 18:38 (twenty years ago)

SMILEY

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 15 August 2005 18:39 (twenty years ago)

why are the fat boys holding a big crayon?! Why?!?!

Fat Boy Fan, Monday, 15 August 2005 20:36 (twenty years ago)

Meh. The only track that seems to work is All Falls Down. The others have tepid beats and mostly rely on samples so short it's almost not a proper mash-up.

Hurting (Hurting), Monday, 15 August 2005 21:05 (twenty years ago)

All Falls Down by 5 Star? Love that track!

pappawheelie II, Monday, 15 August 2005 21:06 (twenty years ago)

Just rollin through to show you that hip-hop gonna rival any music for straight up artistry, whether it's the rock/pop of the Beatles or it's that harmonious Jonas named "Brian Wilson."

"Harmonious Jonas".

I like you, Kanye. How does it feel to be "mashed up"?

Confounded (Confounded), Monday, 15 August 2005 21:07 (twenty years ago)

All Falls Down by 5 Star? Love that track!

Hahah, do you only live in the 80s? What's wrong with you? Do you not even know Chicken Lips? What a loser, stop living 25 years ago and do a little living now.

Giles Wallwork (Confounded), Monday, 15 August 2005 21:09 (twenty years ago)

Actually, I take it back. Even the beat on that one is weak.

Hurting (Hurting), Monday, 15 August 2005 21:11 (twenty years ago)

Giles...I don't like 5 Star...it was a joke.

Like most of my stupid ILM posts.

Which are not like my real EDP posts for you...

GOD DMAN

everyone has aibds, Monday, 15 August 2005 22:17 (twenty years ago)

Kayne's voice on a beach boys record sounds like a Prophet 5 being drowned and then ran through a reverb.
