"Yesterday" C/D

Never really gave this song much thought, really, but after listening to Help all weekend, it's now definitely a dud. Something about those strings and its cloying melody. McCartney sings it nice enough, but really, how did this become of the biggest songs ever?

i dunno. yesterday was alright. i expected to have a hangover but didn't, which proved nice. the hot rain sucked though. i didn't leave the apt.

this and "blackbird" are the only acoustic guitar songs i like. and maybe the nas remix of "thug mansions". i'm listening to "blackbird" right now actually, it's beautiful and i wish more music was as unironic and charmingly earnest as this.

"Yesterday" is a pretty good song, but "Blackbird" blows it away.

blackbird is gorgeous. i think that's my favorite beatles song besides "two of us"....

Good when La Lupe sings it.

Aw, no link there. Marvin Gaye's version is great, too.
