What kind of keyboards/drum machines did they use in this song? i would guess at a DX-7 or OB-8 or something, can anyone confirm?

This was Narada Michael Walden, right?

I'll tell you what it was: FUCKING AWESOME

Same ones used on Whitney's "How Will I Know," also written/produced by Narada Michael Walden.

I like to remember Narada for his drumming on Robert Fripp's "Breathless"...

sometimes I marvel at what a filthy lyric "we're going riding on the freeway of love in a pink cadillac" is

lol don't like this album much apart from "Another Night" and "Integrity," although listening to Aretha encouraging Peter Wolf to push harder is worth it.

first I think it's time I kick a little verse! (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Thursday, 8 August 2013 20:58 (twelve years ago)

four years pass...

She sounded pretty great last night, and ended (more or less) with like a 15 minute version of "Freeway of Love." Best treat was that she had Narada Michael Walden back on drums!

I don't think she did that song for that long at her recent DC area gig. She was great at times, and not so great on other songs at our a bit uneven gig.

eight months pass...

I can't stand her second biggest '80s hit.
