For those of you who've been there, recommend things you've seen used there before at good prices.

And for those who haven't...just recommend albums that I need to own and maybe I'll look for them while I'm there.

i don't know if you're into it, but i've found some pretty good singles/eps in the used dance/electronic section. almost everytime i've been there there's some DFA single for like half of what they usually sell it for. oh, and thy have "Man from the Pack" by I-F for like 7.99 or something. once they had black ceaser, you know, the soundtrack james brown did with "the boss" on it for cheap.

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 17 August 2005 20:08 (twenty years ago)

Hahaha my initial impulse was to say "a social disease" but I figured I'd be good for a change.

Go to the oldies compilation section and buy anything on the Varese Sarabande label that's under $10.

Joseph McCombs (Joseph McCombs), Thursday, 18 August 2005 02:28 (twenty years ago)

nine years pass...

I got the Uilab EP, Cobra and Phases ($3!), A Winged Victory for the Sullen, and Anjou. Two eye-opening things: couldn't find *any* Bardo Pond, and they now charge $0.10 for bags.

Godsleee You Black Emperor (Leee), Tuesday, 3 March 2015 23:05 (eleven years ago)

bag charge is a city-wide ordnance

I wonder if mike bee still work there? The dance section used to be fabulous bit it seems like it's been pretty lackluster the last few times I've been. Still nowhere near as bad as the dance section at the Berkeley location.

I guess the first time this happens to you when you're buying non-perishables is pretty weird.
