Was the first single "All Night Disco Party"? That was kind of fun, I thought.

no, 'pick up the phone'. 26 seconds long.

jeez, you'd want a few b-sides thrown in to make that a worthwhile purchase.

spruce bruce (haitch), Thursday, 18 August 2005 05:16 (twenty years ago)

one of the b-sides clocks in at under 10 sec. the other is more like 3 mins

what i've heard is pretty awesome...heard about your band a particular highlight cos its spot on and hilarious as well as catchy. the short ones are sort of furious little wire rips, but some of it is even a bit country jangly.

Got some songs from a friend in the UK and I've been listening daily ever since. Ring a ding ding, NY Pie, and I Can't Stand to Stand Beside You are great. Supposed to be loads of fun live as well.

four weeks pass...
I bought it today and............it's great. Loads of fun and quite touching in places. Any other thoughts?

one year passes...

news just in :

eamon from brakes lost his guitar at the glastonbury festival and is issuing a plea to anyone who may have found it, lying in the mud outside the leftfield tent at glastonbury, sometime between 3am and 7am on sunday morning. it was a gewa tennesee bluesbird, not worth very much monetarily (£120), but of priceless sentimental value (most of brakes' two albums were composed on it). anyone who knows of its whereabouts, please contact rough trade records on 020 8960 9888 or email bra✧✧✧@brakesbrakesbra✧✧✧.c✧✧ with a photo, and eamon will come and collect it and play you a gig in your front room. it was in a black case and had a 'bronze ace' wooden mic pick up, with the 'bronze' wording rubbed off.
eamon had played at 2.30am and was a bit worse for wear.
