It reminds me of this actual exchange from the record store I worked at in high school.

Another point to all of the Coq Roq fans; If you really feel like worshipping a band that plays music equivalent to mainstream non-technical talentless bands (which you probably listen to too) and advertizes for Burger King that you also seem to worship... Then go ahead. Leave Slipknot and their fans out of it. It's not even Slipknot that are suing them, it's their executives and record producers that they have no control over. Sure I listen to Slipknot, so what? I still listen to what some of you call "real metal" also. You all seem to think that whoever listens to Slipknot only listens to Slipknot. If anything -- and I'm sure this has been stated above -- Coq Roq owe more to GWAR than anyone else (maybe Kiss and the Misfits), but they don't dress in symetrical jumpsuits like the Slipknot goons. It's tenuous at best.

I read one comment which I laughed so hard at that I almost cried! "You all seem to think that whoever listens to Slipknot only listens to Slipknot" I have been on many Slipknot bashing sprees and too often Do I see comments like "Slipknot!!! is da best fuking band on da face of da EARTH!!!!!" or "If you don't listen to Slipknot you clearly listen to (ENTER RANDOM POP BAND)". My conclusion is that there is no bigger douche bags in the world then the Slipknot fan base AKA "Maggots". The Slipknot fanbase consists of the people who want to look badass, get over it you idiots you look like jackasses! You know I am all for accepting peoples music tastes but the Slipknot fan base is composed of the the most narrow minded asswipes I've ever seen. That reflects badly on the metal scene, which becomes my problem as a metal fan! That's my problem with Slipknot!
