i heard this song on mtv the other night and i enjoyed it very much.

what i had read about cassidy previously made me think he was more feeble-sounding than this. i was suitably impressed...

any thoughts?

i can't imagine a song called b-boy stance is bad!

who produced it? i liked that one song "i'm a hustler" but i was scared of buying a record...is it on the record?

swizz beats?

a google search confirms that it is swizz produced. i am pleased that swizz beats is still making delectable pop nuggets such as this. it makes me eager to hear dmx's comeback single, which i hear is also swizz-produced.

i was excited for cassidy after that battle w/freeway

but then that hotel song didn't really do much for me so i kinda lost track of him until huster....

"B-Boy Stance" is aight, I woulda gone with something else for the 2nd single, though, maybe "C-Bonics" or "Get 'Em".

i think this track sorta sucks. terrible, cringeworthy verses (esp the third one), chorus isn't so hot either, flow is like whatever half-assed sort-of-cam'ron, boring "hip hop is the new acid house" production ... i swear, sometimes i'm surprised people still get excited over 303s in hiphop tracks.

When did anyone say anything about 303s/acid squelches in this thread? Last time I remember reading that kind of 'this reminds me of rave music!' stuff was circa "Tipsy."

Anyway I haven't heard this song yet, but what did you think of "I'ma Hustla" Vahid?

well, beat-wise there's not really much else going on in the track except a big acid-housey synth/siren riff.

i'm just saying, after just blaze's "shorty" beat there doesn't really seem to be much way forward for acid house rap beats.

actually, i thought "i'ma hustla" was pretty hot, and i thought "get no better" was super-hot, but i think he sounds callow and snide on this new track.
