Wait. Are we talking about The Lights, the Seattle band formerly from Pullman/Moscow? Well, yeah
Beautiful Bird is pretty good, but I LOVE them live, because they are so loud, out-of-tune, loose and sloppy -- and hence far less tame than the album, which is alright, but wished sounded less weak.
I'm guessing you wouldn't like the latest EP "Wood and Wire", which has their best song to date, "Mr. Pussy", which is just monstrous sounding. The recordings on it reflect the live sound better. I can't wait to hear the second Lights album. It can't come soon enough, especially if it's anything like the EP.
Also the lead guy in The Lights has a two piece band that's supposed to be even trashier and more improvised. They opened for the A-Frames, and they were quite fun.. although the drummer's voice was too crybaby-ish. I wish I remembered their name.

i dont understand why kids listen to such awful out of tune garbage that kills ears and brain cells. they must want to be like those people on fear factor that dare each other to eat ground up worms or cockroaches and nasty stuff just to show how hard they are. i guess people listen to all these noisy bands to show off or something.
the aframes are so goddamn awful. that guys is so ugly. i think they eat live mice.
