Ultimate Battles: Frank Zappa Vs. Arthur Brown

OK, I think people would agree that these artists are alike. Both experimental and psychedelic. Both had weird-psychotic-debut albums. Both of the breakout albums came out in 1968. But as Frank Zappa had more great albums, Arthur Brown still "pwnz" Zappa's catalog with The Crazy World of Arthur Brown.

If you really wanna break it down, this is more of a "We're Only in it for the Money" vs. "The Crazy World of Arthur Brown" thread, but what do you think has the better music?

If it's just those two albums, Zappa by about 100 miles. I think that Crazy World of Arthur Brown album is a little cheesey ("Spontaneous Apple Creation" is maybe my favorite, though!). I don't know the other Arthur Brown stuff.

I don't know if I'm wrong, but I never really got that Frank Zappa album. I was always bored when I listened to it. It never really made me go "Wow!" but that Arthur Brown album, with those high wails that he does through the whole album, I had to listen to it 3 times in a row.

To me, The Crazy World beats WOiTftM, but I'm not sure about all of Zappa's stuff vs. Brown's.
