Name Dead Meadow's biggest influences

On Feathers especially, I have a hard time pinpointing what their style is reminiscent of. A lot of people say Black Sabbath, but I don't really see it - especially on Feathers.

When I saw them live opening for SK one song sort of sounded like T. Rex.. by way of Black Sabbath.

Agree with Blue Cheer, but I don't think it's super obvious or anything.

I like them. I created this thread while listening to Feathers and thinking that they just have a really unique sound, even though their music sounds vaguely 'retro'.

If I started a thread about current bands that don't sound like anybody else, would anybody nominate Dead Meadow?

I know there's plenty of one-note psychedelic rock to go around these days, but Warble Womb hasn't been getting enough love IMO.
