the open field label in brazil (http://openfield.org/) has rereleased the diplo mix.. there are some sound samples on the site. it's fun.

I'll be damned if I'm gonna start a new thread for this, and couldn't find one using the Search function, but we need a discussion of Diplo's Fabriclive mix. Plus it's get Debbie Deb on it so it sort of fits with this thread.

I picked up a promo copy yesterday and I love it to bits. The middle section from "This Is Sick" through "Destruction" is just about perfect. Released in UK next Monday.

I can see the majors naying it (though that didn't stop the ones that own the rights to at least half of what's on here) but indie labels I have a harder time believing, since licensing for compilations = badly needed income for them. my theory is just that dude has boring-ass taste.

there are plenty of great songs on there! that's kind of the problem...it's a little too uh "road-tested." i don't know about the baile funk, but "buck done gun" and "my chrome" are the only songs from 2005 on it, which i find a little odd. i also don't think anyone needs to put "don't go" on a mix for the next 10 years.

You should be able to. You might have to enable "overburn", also, burn at a slightly lower speed than normal.
