Hi, we're packing the van and taking one of our bands, The Arm, to NYC for their performance at CMJ music fest. If anyone knows of any music related media in the New York City area wether print or web, please let us know their names and/or URLs so we can look into contacting them for CD and show reviews. Specifically, any music media that would cover indie-art-post-punk type rock sounds would be ideal. Thanks.

hey thanks for informing me about the gay accent... do you actually live in new york city or do you just wish you did? if you do i'm sure you live in the tough area... i lived in Harlem which is a pretty nice place especially when you get past 150th street. so beyond you wasting time with your top-level response to my question do you actually know anything about the music scene there? do you read anything other than your own clever musings cause that would actually be helpful to those of us that are contributing as best as we can to our music communities...
dániel (by the way that's just the way its spelled cause i'm from hungary and it just seems impractical to spell it appropriately in an email address)

for the responses about The Deli, thanks -- i actually knew about them from before and they are awesome... i hope someone out there knows of more publications like it in the NYC area that we can send materials to. Thanks.

Touchy.

The only problem with the Deli is that it's entirely devoted to the LOCAL scene, i.e. doesn't give any coverage to visiting bands.

Gothamist also. They're a bit scenester-y, however, and seem like you need to have an "in."
