Jake,

This is an incredibly irresponsible response to the cancellation of your benefit. Asking people to defecate inside Chadwick's restaurant? What's wrong with you?

I'm in the process of finding out what exactly happened to cause the cancellation of this benefit and to make sure all the things you said about Chadwick's are absolutely TRUE, as well as who was in charge of running the benefit, the town officials that were notified, the insurance permits your applied for and the security that you had planned for the event.

If I find out that you followed all the correct steps to organize this benefit, by gaining approval from town officials, insurance permits and security, and then after the fact, Chadwick's was solely at fault for preventing the benefit due to loss of business concerns, then I'd be sorry to hear that and maybe ask them to make a donation towards your benefit that is now being held at MacArthur Park. But I would not tell someone to relieve themselves inside their establishment.

If I find out that it was not solely Chadwick's fault or any fault at all, and you have simply decided to blame them and tarnish their reputation, I will make sure people hear and read about that and your e-mail.

I have run benefits in the past, it is not easy and not everyone can get on board for various reasons. It does not make them bad people, it just doesn't work out sometimes.

I can appreciate you putting your time into helping the people of the Gulf Coast, but trashing someone else because it did not work out the way you wanted it too, just isn't right and it certainly isn't making the situation for the people affected by Katrina any better. That's what this is all bout right? The people who have real problems right now? I hope things go better for you when you organize your next benefit for the people affected by Hurricane Rita this weekend.

I'll be in touch.

Paul

Subject: Saturdays Benefit Shut Down/MacArthur Park Helps Out

Everyone,
I'm very sorry to say that the Benefit Concert planned for Saturday, September 24th has been cancelled due to the people of Chadwicks restaurant. Chadwicks is a restaurant that is on Front St. where the benefit was going to be held. Instead of getting involved in this noble cause Chadwicks feared it would be bad for business, made a big stink to the mayor, and now there will be no Benefit Concert on Front St. I'm not sure what's worse... potentially losing some money on a night of business, or being forever known to the people of Rockville Centre as the Restaurant that shut down the Benefit Concert for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Hmmmmmm?

The Benefit must go on......

Tonight, Friday, September 23rd the Jake Incao Band will be playing at MacArthur Park in Rockville Centre, located at 1 Maple Ave on the corner of N.Park Ave at 11pm. We will be collecting money and raffling off gift certificates for the "Kids for Katrina" fund. Please come down and show your support.
Thanks, Jake

P.S- If you're ever by Chadwicks on Front St. in RVC and have to use the bathroom, don't hesitate to go in Chadwicks and go to the bathroom. Don't use there bathroom, better yet, find a cozy little nook in the restaurant, and just relax. Ahhhhhhh, sweet justice

clearly, it was urination, not defecation that was intended.

Paul's confusion on that point has been a source of embarrassment in the past.

Long Island, N.Y., native Jake Incao began singing from the time he could speak. Influenced by such acts as Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews Band and Elvis Presley, Incao first picked up the guitar at age 15. After discovering he had a knack for songwriting, he took his voice and songs to coffeehouses and open mics all over Long Island.

Following two self-made acoustic albums, Jake (2000) and Melody Brew (2001), as well as a full band effort, Jake's Magic Pouch presents . . . Colors & Dreams (2002), Incao headed back into the studio in the winter of 2004 to work on a six-song EP, titled, Get What You Came For.

Teaming up with Grammy-nominated producer/mixer/engineer Steve Eigner, (Nellyville/What's the 411/98 Degrees and Rising), Incao recorded some of his best material, displaying his extreme capability in songwriting and versatility with powerful passionate vocals that soar over the music. Upon completion of the final mix, the EP was taken to New York City's renowned Hit Factory to be mastered by Grammy-nominated Scott Hull (John Mayer/Steely Dan), helping make Get What You Came For Incao's best overall studio effort to date.

Following the success of cd sales and positive support from the press, Incao landed solo acoustic supporting slots for Edwin McCain, Brian Vander Ark of The Verve, ex-Mott the Hoople singer, Ian Hunter, and ex-Soul Coughing singer, Mike Doughty, at Long Island's The Downtown, along with a supporting slot for Huey Lewis & The News at Westbury Music Fair. Soon after the Jake Incao Band was formed with skilled musicians, Vinny Costantino (lead guitar), Dustin Hickey (bass), Jason Fenichel (drums), and occasional help from Stew Ratzken (congas). Since early 2004 the band has played all over Long Island, landed gigs opening for Foghat and Dave Mason at The Downtown, and found a residency at New York Cities, legendary The Bitter End, developing not just their act, but a loyal fan base.

As the hard working Incao continues to develop, he is managing himself and his band, booking gigs, talking with producers, entertainment lawyers, and major record labels, while writing new material and utilizing his insatiable drive to fulfill his vision of success.

The punctuation error amuses me. Either that or RJG has an evil twin.

six months pass...
Paul. It's clear that you have absolutely no sense of humor what-so-ever. Considering your age I think it's time you grew up.
Welcome to the real world.
