I was watching it last night and it left me baffled.

You mean the Herzog movie or the Blondie film? Former is easier to explain than the latter.

one thing i did learn from RIUASA was to look out for paul morley's cameo ('what's that?') in 'the look of love' video.

I remember the first time i saw 'the look of love' video i did i double take not quite believing it was Paul Morley.

I know, you think, "Hold on, he's only got ONE chin!??!?!"

The 'The Look Of Love' video has such a weird effect - like shot video that's been treated to look like film, resulting in some freakish hybrid that makes everything dreamlike.

The fuzziness can't disguise Martin Fry's acne scars though. You don't seem to get bands dressing in lederhosen in their videos anymore.

on the mark romanek dvd he talks about this sonic yoot vid which he and harris savides shot on video, 'to get a kind of punk rock look' or something. anyhoo, mark says harris lit it so nice that the video ended up looking too much like celluloid and they had to fuck it up a bit in post-production to get the right 'video' look.

But do Lee Ranaldo's acne scars really compare with Martin Fry's and did anyone wear lederhosen?

One thing i've noticed about Human League videos is that Adrian Wright and Jo Callis seem to get the duff parts and Phil Oakey and Ian Burden get the girls.
