Please recommend something if my favorite two things are Mathew Jonson and Ferenc

I'm wanting more of this sound. Dunno how to describe it. Deep synths.

Actually it would be good if Tyler Hanel showed up and posted a tracklist of "Deathless Love" because that's kinda exactly my bag. Thnx!

Stuff on Jonson's Wagon Repair label

Michael F Gill (Michael F Gill), Tuesday, 18 October 2005 00:05 (twenty years ago)

Michael: yes! I recently heard Konrad Black Medusa Smile and this is the shit for me. What other track on Wagon Repair is this good?

Good Dog (Good Dog), Tuesday, 18 October 2005 00:49 (twenty years ago)

Both Konrad singles are nice. The new one by Hrdvision (Jonson's brother) might be up your alley too.

I'm liking the Somfray mixes on his website. Maybe a little more feminine than I expected.

Matt John - Princess Unknown

Omar (Omar), Tuesday, 18 October 2005 19:53 (twenty years ago)

get thee some frank martiniq. he's more twisted than either of the artists you listed, but the synth work on his stuff is really nice. it's deep german tech-house....you want the singles and not the albums. and particularly the late night tools series, all of which are good.

also maybe sascha funke's recent stuff...

alex smoke is a good call, but he can be very glitchy and clicky which are worlds away from mathew jonson and ferenc. the melodic sensibilities are similar.

the matt john track is very similar to mathew jonsons rhythm programming.

carsten jost

Yeah Carsten Jost is a good call. Also Magnet if he ever releases anything else.

I think Ware used to be a really good label for this sort of thing... they may still be but I haven't picked up any of their comps for a couple of years. I remember stuff like Decomposed Subsonic's "Last Flight" being sort of deep slow trance. Whatever happened to them?

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Tuesday, 18 October 2005 21:56 (twenty years ago)

Going from Carsten Jost, I'd say Lawrence/Sten, also.

And the new Misc., "Like Morning In you Eyes."

I'll second Magnet.

Get the Matthias Aguayo album, I reckon.

re: Sascha Funke - "Boy" is excellent.

You might like you some Paul Kalkbrenner also.

Thanks you all for these suggestions. Der Dritte Raum Klubraum is especially great.
