I thought it was based on some Dada/Surrealist thing. Googling it I see "Exposition Dada" Max Ernst was a booklet from the time, maybe they just corrupted it like Merzbow did with Merzbau?
Kim Pieters was also in Doramaar and seemed fond of references to arty things.
