Hi,
I have a CD mispress that has intrigued me for many years. The CD appears to be Sonic Temple but when played it turns out to be Kate Bush, The Whole Story.
If you are interested let me know. I have not been able to find any reference to this disc anywhere so some history or info would be welcome.
Best Regards,
Andy Gidman

I've got a copy of The Who's 'Live at Leeds' that plays 'Best of the Drifters', and PWEI's live EP that plays some ole truck drivin' C&W tomfoolery instead of the Black Country's finest.

I really wish these CD pressing plant types would stay off the cooking sherry during their lunch hour.

I've run across two mispressed CDs in my years of CD buying (and promo receiving). The first was by some artist named Ferron (it was on a major label and I got it to review while I was working for the college newspaper) called "Still Riot."

At any rate, the music on the disc was actually some sort of oldies compilation, which was pretty hilarious.

Also, I had a copy of Stone Temple Pilots' "Tiny Music..." that had some sort of mainstream Soul/R&B music on it instead.

I shoulda kept both those discs, but they're rotting away at some local store/museum where bad music goes to die.

when i bought a copy of the Dead Milkmen's "Big Lizard in my Backyard" back in 1989, it had a Voivod CD in it.

I had an Evan Parker Electro-Acoustic Ensemble disc with some Italian torch singer music on it. When I returned it, the guy at Amoeba said, "There are quite a few of this messed-up one floating around."

some artist named Ferron

fairly major artist in the so-called women's music (or queer friendly, or whatever you choose to call it) movement of the '80s. she was pretty decent for a couple of albums, wordy singer/songwriter stuff with a bit of a springsteen streak, or at least as much of a springsteenian streak as a committed folkie would allow herself back then. by the time the major labels got to her in the early '90s ,her well had started to run dry. though for all i know she's been making masterpieces for the past 15 years and no one told me. or maybe they're all mis-pressed so no one noticed.

i had a 7" of 'on your own' by the verve that had a daryll-ann song pressed on the b-side by mistake.

I had one, a copy of Two Lone Swordsmen's Tiny Reminders which turned out to be someone reading some Shakespeare or something.
