No, she doesn't sing. She welcomes you by voicemail, though.

I want to know more about Bumblebee Unlimited.

Alex in Doncaster (Alex in Doncaster), Wednesday, 19 October 2005 19:12 (twenty years ago)

I just got the cd re-issue of "Sting Like a Bee" by Bumblebee Unlimited. It's enjoyable throughout, particularly I Love You and Love Bug in addition to the excellent Lady Bug. It also features the 12" (and fairly different) version of Lady Bug. I'd recommend it if you liked Lady Bug.

Interview here (on topic) - http://www.djmag.com/newsfeat190.php

Mix looks interesting.

It will be done. I LOVE Ladybug, beyond most other things, ever. Also the Toy track at the start.

"cd re-issue of "Sting Like a Bee" by Bumblebee Unlimited."

Why can't I find this re-issue? Is it out in the U.S.? Amoeba has it on vinyl, but no record of a CD.

I got it via musicselection.com, but it took nearly two months to recieve it. It was only released in Canada I believe, but amazon claims they have it:

The Motiivi:Tuntematon track (actually called "1939") is a fucking monster, as is JD Twitch's Liquid Liquid mix (which DJ Mag miscredits and doesn't seem to understand, shocker).

philip sherburne (philip sherburne), Thursday, 20 October 2005 16:11 (twenty years ago)

There was a post about the Liquid Liquid track over at Banana Nutrament two weeks ago. Here's the link:

matt2 (matt2), Thursday, 20 October 2005 16:25 (twenty years ago)

This comp. is really good.

Raw Patrick (Raw Patrick), Thursday, 20 October 2005 16:56 (twenty years ago)

I´m surprised by the amount of no wave, ny noise she uses.
I like those new tracks Gimme your money and Wedding a lot, can´t wait for her second album.

silas (silas), Thursday, 20 October 2005 19:08 (twenty years ago)

Buy everything by Patrick Adams and his amazing synthesizer. I think Dusty Groove has a whole bunch of stuff and reissues of his P&P label.

Michael F Gill (Michael F Gill), Thursday, 20 October 2005 22:17 (twenty years ago)

What a terribly condescending "interview" that was.
