All I know about them is that they've made a fair number of albums and, according to their own website, are "enormously influential." So much so that they felt the need to write it on their own website, apparently. Oh, and Rodney Orpheus seems to like posing for photos, particularly shirtless. He also likes writing and keeps a blog, so I suspect he authored the self-praise of his band as well. But, strangely he isn't as into giving us free samples of their music as he is of giving us free samples of his writing. I couldn't find an audio clip anywhere.

been years since i heard anything re CC. i once bumped into Rodney O in a keyboard shop in leeds .. many many years before he became as influential as he so obviously has.

the cassette of their pre-first album tracks i had has long gone into the ether, but i recall it not being overly impressive, though gothic friends of mine loved their later releases, then again these were people who rated Drug Free America.

so who knows....

oh man.

This was one of those "hey they were on Play It Again Sam with Wax Trax!, so they must have been industrial or good, right?" type bands... Far less interesting the Neon Judgement, better than most EBM though at certain moments.

They did the most bland cover of "Something Came Over Me" by Throbbing Gristle, possible.

They had cool release names like Satan, Bugs Bunny, And Me.

I'd forget them and check out the Neon Judgement instead, who were more obvious and fun (usually) about their goth-meets-Ennio-Morricone fetishes... aside from having some ahead-of-their-time releases in 1981 ("The Fashion Party", "I Wish I Could", etc.)

I'm just checking them out (randomly found myself sent to a recent live video on Youtube), I like them. Makes me think of Suicide, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Redlorry Yellowlorry, The March Violets,...
