I can't find one of the tracks from "668 Neighbor of the Beast". All the file shared copies of the album I can find are missing this song("deep in the heart of the night")..I know it was on the vinyl, but I haven't seen it for years. Anyone know what I am talking about?

Yes. They were one of my favourite bands in high school, and "Deep In The Heart Of The Night" was like an anthem for me and my friends. That whole album is classic, especially "Pushead's a Wanker" and "Suck My Cock". My friend Chris and I even had a routine worked out for "Jethro (Suede and Leather)". Totally classic Canadian punk metal.

Actually, I think it's a bit of an exaggeration to say we had a routine worked out for "Jethro", as I think it was more that we would just yell "NO! IT'S SUEDE!" and "IT'S LEATHER!" at each other. When I got canned from my last job I did sing "I Lost My Job To A Guy Named Gino" to myself, though.

My Dog Popper! I never did see their album anywhere (probly wouldn'a bought it anyways) but I got a kick out of "Acid Flashback", which used to air quite frequently on the UofW radio station. I referenced it on a previous thread, "Songs About Ronald Reagan" or some such. Loved that anecdote about them setting their apartment building on fire just for the album cover photo!

I definitely remember, but haven't seen (or thought about) my cassette of that album in probably 12 years. I know Lucinda though, maybe she'll know what you're talking about.

i. lost my job. to a guy named gino.

to a guy named gino.

i had the cassette, a friend stole it at tower one night completely randomly. we used to listen to it and drive around carelessly and do donuts in parking lots. about 10 years later, i passed it along to another friend who'd been around in the my dog popper days for sentimental reasons. so stupid of me!

I haven't thought about My Dog Popper for years!!! Saw them at Foufounes many times as an angry Montral hardcore youngster! Deep in the Heart of the Night is classic...as is Gino!!!
