Does anyone remember Travis?

You know, "Rain on me" and all that. "Coming around" the hit that Teenage Fanclub should have had, although they did have some as well.

My question.

There's a button to swap Coldplay and Travis.

To press or not to press?

let's be serious for a sec.

they do inhabit quite different "vibes"

Travis being more into fun and a musical lightness

Coldplay being more into emotions and atmospherics

My brother in law's called Fran, short for Francis, quite a common name in Glasgow. He'd eat you for breakfast Mr Buttez.

Travis frontman Fran Healy has revealed that he loves Katy Perry's attitude.

The band recently covered Perry's hit 'I Kissed A Girl' for a radio show, the first time they have tackled a pop song since their rendition of Britney Spears's 'Baby One More Time'.

They're a '90s odd couple. And an odds-on choice for laughs. (blueski), Thursday, 25 September 2008 12:58 (seventeen years ago)

TS: which of these do you less want to hear?

(I liked The Man Who okay but since I stopped owning it I have never once consciously desired to hear it. This about summarizes this band for me - I can't muster the kind of hatred many people can, but nor can I actively wish for them either.)

(The terrible thing is, their original version of La Brit was very, very funny because they clearly didn't have a clue what they were doing, completely pissed up and winging it. the later cleaned up and released version was not quite so good.)
