ailsa (ailsa), Saturday, 29 October 2005 07:02 (twenty years ago)

one month passes...
I rather liked Q magazine's characterization of Erasure as "limb-flapping hokum" in a review of (I think it was) Cowboy. I think of "Stop" as being the quintessential example of what they mean.

Myke Weiskopf (Myke Weiskopf), Saturday, 3 December 2005 03:40 (twenty years ago)

Hmmm, now some more are coming to mind, I'm glad this got revived because I'm in a listy mood. "Mama Said Knock You Out" is a GREAT one. Wow.

Anything that mentions fire or flames is good for doing the "wiggle your fingers and raise them up" thing:

26. Johnny Cash, "Ring of Fire"

And I have no idea how I forgot:

27. Ludacris, "Southern Hospitality" (throw them 'bows)

I at least always tend to do some sort of ridiculous fishy things during:

28. The B-52's, "Rock Lobster" (there goes the narwhal!)

More later maybe.
