DirecTV is dropping their Music Choice (MC) music channels (800-860) for XM radio music channels on Nov. 15 2005. I think this is only a good thing but expect FOX to raise prices yet again. I'm also a baseball fan so this will be great come next year.

So who here has XM Satellite Radio? Can you give me a review and tell me what you dig most about it?

a friend of mine has it and as a result ends up always driving whenever we do anything so i can check it out. to be honest i'm not that impressed (and i leave music choice channels on all the time in the background if i'm cooking or whatever so i guess i prefer it) BUT what was impressive was sports coverage and also just how freakishly crystal clear it was esp in contrast to am obv. my friend got xm specifically cuz they carry baseball.

So it's not the baseball package that is included at all. My other music board has pointed out that it's just a 24-hour MLB talk type of station.

I wouldn't think many ILMers would subscribe to either of those satellite radio programs. Howard Stern will probably change some people's mind but I would rather program what I want to hear. Between Music Boards, on-line publications, and 5l5k friends it's no longer important to be exposed to music through the radio or MTV.
