Help Me Figure Out Which Al Green Song This Is

Never been a particularly huge fan of his, but heard this song last night on 102.3 here in DC whilst in a cab. A 70's tune to be sure. I didn't really hear the main body of the song, but it ended with this pillowy smooth coda with a Moogish synth part playing chords over and over while he vocalized over the top. It was absolutely fantastic.

I'm Still in Love with You has a really nice coda like that. Moog though...of the hits that's the first thing that comes to mind.

Hmm -- I don't think it was that. This had a more still thing going on -- and not Al's typical brass arrangements...

if it's the mellow one, it's probably Call Me.

Are you sure it wasn't The Isley Brothers? This sounds like it could be "For The Love of You" by the Isleys.

Oh, hell -- it def. might've been...

What's that on, anyway? I can't find it on AMG...

That's a great album, just in case you need a push . . .

I'll pull it down.

Incidentally, after all that, I don't think "For the Love of You" was the tune I heard (although, embarrassingly, I do think it might've been Isley and not Green singing -- no wonder I liked it so much). Where "For the Love of You" has a somewhat propulsive groove, this thing was a lot more still...
