Didn't I hear something about All Your Summer Songs by Saturday Looks Good To Me being released on vinyl with bonus tracks?

Well, I haven't seen anything of the sort, but I haven't exactly been looking. I find it absolutely ridiculous that I don't own this album. I can't find it anywhere (can't really buy it off the internet either) except once when I was going to buy it when I visited Brooklyn, but due to complications, such as buying Ecstacy and Wine (and on vinyl) which I had been looking for for years it prevented me from getting this album, which I am incredibly passionate about. So while were all stil hungover lets talk about how much I like Saturday Looks Good To Me.

And if anyone knows about it's actual release that would be good too.

it has two extra tracks plus a 45 with two more tracks. and only a tenner. why can't you buy it off the internet? polyvinyl mailorder do a good job.

Can I talk instead about how this is the most mediocre release yet from SLGTM, and that the last couple of live shows I've seen from 'em have been disappointing, and that there were better versions of several of their songs on a Suburban Sprawl sampler (along with the criminally overlooked Rants)...?

Really? It's the only thing I have by them but I like it. Altho I mostly listen to the first couple songs.

FYI...the original vinyl release has the two bonus tracks ("Can't Ever Sleep" and "Light Bulb Heart") but no bonus 7" - mine was on clear vinyl, but I don't know if they all were. The new vinyl version (released a few weeks ago) is on 180 gram black vinyl and has a sticker on it saying that it includes the bonus 7" (in a very tiny font size). The 7" has "Christmas Blues" and "Will U Still," which is a cover of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?". Live versions of these two songs are available from eMusic, here.

All Your Summer Songs completely dominated my stereo in 2003. It's fantastic. While I don't agree with js's comments above about AYSS being mediocre, that Suburban Sprawl release is indeed awesome. It has three SLGTM songs, early versions of "Parking Lot Blues" and "Lift Me Up" and another song, "Mistletoe." It's only $4 direct from Suburban Sprawl, here.

While I'm at it, Polyvinyl's having an "artist discography" sale, so for a limited time, you can buy their 2 SLGTM CDs (AYSS and Every Night) for $17.

I take it back, I take it back. AYSS was good, though it was the last good thing and presaged the mediocre Every Night.

Lift Me Up is about my favorite SLGTM song ever, with maybe Everyday topping it out.

And the Rants tracks on that EP are fucking killer too. Highly, highly recommended.
