it's so so good!

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 3 January 2006 20:18 (eighteen years ago) link

oh shit. i might buy that. i love the shit out of Tennessee Bird Walk. it's like a super silly Nancy & Lee track. i'll post it later tonight if i can find the mp3 at home

jaxon (jaxon), Tuesday, 3 January 2006 20:55 (eighteen years ago) link

you might be able to find a better copy on-line. i was just looking for a picture of the cover. it's great funny country-pop. i got my copy at the dump. (they have a shack at the dump where everything is free. it was in perfect condition.)

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 3 January 2006 21:04 (eighteen years ago) link

i want to hear this! do you have a way of digitizing your copy? or do you think i might have some luck finding it on slsk?

jody, Tuesday, 3 January 2006 21:17 (eighteen years ago) link

xpost - yeah, that's actually the main thing that's keeping me from buying it right now. torn cover and a tick at end of LP.

also, you told jody she needed this album, not me, so i don't wanna, you know... like steal it from her

jaxon (jaxon), Tuesday, 3 January 2006 21:17 (eighteen years ago) link

it's ok! i don't really like buying LPs over the internets. shipping's too expensive.

that's tennessee bird walk

jaxon (jaxon), Tuesday, 3 January 2006 21:29 (eighteen years ago) link

but i've never heard anything else from them

jaxon (jaxon), Tuesday, 3 January 2006 21:29 (eighteen years ago) link

if you type jack blanchard into ebay search there are a bunch of singles that come up and some copies of the album in ebay stores. also one other album with him and misty that looks cool.

i still can't turn vinyl into digital (one of these days). the best i can do is make a tape and maria can turn the tape into MP3s (she has a boombox that she hooks up to her computer.) kind of a long way around, but it works. maybe i'll ask her to do that.

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 3 January 2006 21:40 (eighteen years ago) link

if it's not too much trouble, i'll make it worth your while!

jody, Tuesday, 3 January 2006 21:43 (eighteen years ago) link

(trouble for you and maria, that is.)

jody, Tuesday, 3 January 2006 21:43 (eighteen years ago) link

well there you go. thanks, jaxon. lemme know if you like that one, jody, and i'll see about getting the other songs up. they even do a great song called "Poor Jody"!

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 3 January 2006 21:45 (eighteen years ago) link

great version of Tennessee Birdwalk by Buck Owens and someone else:

http://s8.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=136M2X83FBX9816I5U8A5IEL9R

audio captured it from Laura cantrell's show so the sound quality isn't the greatest.

tremendoid (tremendoid), Tuesday, 3 January 2006 21:47 (eighteen years ago) link

(xpost) haha yes, i noticed that on the ebay page! i'll listen to the track when i get home.

jody, Tuesday, 3 January 2006 21:47 (eighteen years ago) link

that mp3 of tennesse bird walk is ... disturbing
