THE SHORTWAVE SET present their PARAPHENALIA at the soho arts club, 50 frith st, w1. mon 16th jan - (8 til late).
the grand opening night of the shortwave set's soho residency offers top dollar end of pier entertainment from an eclectic line up of hand selected turns and background sounds served up by the ambient 1, earhole dj's and guests. bring along some old charity shop vinyl; these will be played out in the extra special "ten-a-penny" dj set, and the best submission will be used by the band as the basis for a new shortwave set tune to be played live next time out. also get your property and person stamped as part of the group's DIY merchandising operation. the band perform live, and further surprises are assured.
the admission price (£3 before 9pm, £5 after) includes entry into the prize draw tombola. said prizes including shortwave set rarities, vintage pomagne, and the entire contents of the "ten-a-penny" dj set. yes folks, it should be an interesting evening...
