Hi-Five (the new jack swing group)

Inspired by the SWV thread... Hi-Five's "Keep It Goin' On" (1992) was the first cassette of original material I ever owned. They had a minor hit a couple of years later off their final album, "Faithful." They worked closely with Jive labelmate R. Kelly. Then one of their members was in a near-fatal car accident.

Anyone share the love? Anyone else remember them?

Apparently, they released a reunion album in 2005, "The Return." Haven't heard it, though.

"I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)" was pretty good.

A best-of comp is well worth getting. My favorite was "I Can't Wait Another Minute."

Hard to Get and the Kissing Game were two of my absolute favourite songs of all time ever, back in the day. If anyone wanted to YSI either of those I'd be a happy Madchen.

no, because itunes password protects their files so only a few computers can play them

my wife has the greatest hits cd. i'll try to YSI a few tracks later in the day

thanks, jason! yeah i was really into these guys pretty much all through my middle school years.

the fact that they never seemed as ubiquitous as comparable groups (boyz II men, silk, shai, all 4 one, tony tony tony--sp?) probably also helped cement early on my love for music-world underdogs (paradoxically turning me after i discovered guitars into a cornie indie fuxx0r)

I like the way (gnok gnok) "I Like The Way" hit #1; I'd like to think it helped "I Adore (Mi Amor) hit #1 too.
