Cam'ron brings it to Jay-Z...not so well

The actual beats / track is awful - a nasty funkless "classical" loop, and the chorus is terrible too.
As for what Cam says, it boils down to 1. he's a label cheat, 2. he's ugly 3. he's old and wears sandals.
I dunno, I guess Cam knows it's a no-win situation for Jay-Z: if he responds, it'll help Cam's sales of Killa Season, and if he doesn't, it'll allow Dipset to keep with their tired "we run the streets" thing.

It's better than "Ether"!

Feel free to tell me I don't know shit!

The sandal part is funny.

I like it way better than ether . It's so lighthearted.

only reason Cam's going after Jay right now is that Juelz is having problems with Def Jam

Judging from the brouhaha this has already caused the Jay Z fanboys vs Dipset Dickriders threads on rap message boards are gonna make the whole Jay Z stans vs Nas stans threads of '01 and '02 look positively sane and heterosexual in comparison

i've honestly never liked jay-z
i think he has swagger, but for me its about humor, wordplay, and the texture and cadence of the rapper's voice. Jay-z raps monotone BS as far as im concerned. Cam has not yet grown into the rapper he could be, but I see a lot of potential, and he has a much more revolutionary aesthetic and vocabulary...and he has "the movement" DIPSET, ALL DAY, EVERY DAY.

And I'm gay, so yes, this debate will be much gayer than Jay-Z vs. Nas.

NO HOMO

it's kinda funny, but cam's almost too goofy and random to really concoct a vicious diss, he keeps lapsing into his usual stream on consciousness stuff even when he's trying to stay on topic...i like this song though...the beginning is funny...

this is one of the lamest fucking things I've ever heard. the strings would bore Van McCoy. you need a lot more charisma than anyone in Dipset has ever demonstrated to drone on for seven-and-a-half minutes like this.

"king of new york rockin' sandals with jeans" is destined to become a catchphrase

other than that, this song's pretty worthless

Renard (Renard), Friday, 20 January 2006 23:27 (twenty years ago)

theres more than appears on the surface. their "whatever, its a hit" flippancy with the beats is not gonna help in a way 'cos you know jay is going to have an insane beat. but also its that same thing about them that makes almost everyone believe whatever they say. 'cos its not dressed up
either way i am psyched, can't wait to hear response
