Help me with a mix - 90s and 00s Punkhouse

With a bit of classic postpunk for good measure. I'm a bit behind on this stuff but after hearing the Outhud album it's all making a bit more sense to me.

The mix starts like this - okay, it's not all discopunk, but things in this vein would be appreciated:

Jan Jelinek - Music To Inerrogate By
LCD Soundsystem - There's Too Much Love
Out Hud - It's For You
Kelley Polar - The Rooms In My House Have Many Parties
King Crimson - Sartori In Tangier

I wanted to put some Talking Heads on there but they're a little hard to mix in together.

So yeh, how should I continue this mix? Don't worry too much about genre fixation, more the overall vibe/feel.

Kindling for the Master off the latest Stephen Malkmus solo album.

When I saw "Punkhouse" my first thought was Par-T-One's "I'm So Crazy", but looking at yr list I'm not sure if it would fit.

Chantilly Bass (ChantillyBass), Monday, 23 January 2006 03:07 (twenty years ago)

Zongamin 'Serious Trouble' or 'Spiral'

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Monday, 23 January 2006 10:16 (twenty years ago)

I'll second that MSTRKRFT, and also throw in The Rakes, White Rose Movement, Test Icicles, and/or The Long Blondes.

Etienne Menu (Etienne), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 15:28 (twenty years ago)

Something off of the first This Heat record.

Brooker Buckingham (Brooker B), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 16:23 (twenty years ago)

ok, if we're talking classic stuff, my disco-punk faves include Bush Tetra's Can't Be Funky, Lora Logic's Wonderful Offer, Delta 5's Mind Your Own Business, APB's Shoot You Down etc. And there's disco stuff that's punky enough to include and helps transitions, the edit of Dinosaur's Kiss Me Again, for instance.

For new stuff, Who Made Who, the Rapture, Joakim's I Wish You Were Gone, Twitch's version of Contort Yourself...

Currently looking like this, I'll post a YSI when it's finished (I do my mixes in Acid Pro - slow, but sure!)

Pigbag - Papa's Got A Brand New Pigbag
Tom Tom Club - Genius Of Love
Jan Jelinek - Music To Inerrogate By
LCD Soundsystem - There's Too Much Love
!!! - Pardon My Freedom
Out Hud - It's For You
Kelley Polar - The Rooms In My House Have Many Parties
Jeans Team - Oh Bauer
Stephen Malkmus - Kindling For The Master
Metro Area - Orange Alert
Gang Of Four - Not Great Men (Phones Extended Mix)
The Pop Group - Where There Is A Will
The Rapture - Sister Saviour

It's taken a slight dip in speed and started going a bit too classic. I need to pull it around, speed it up and stick some more electronic-y stuff on there before it finishes, especially with such a good opener. Can't have the first track as the fastest, can I?
