I dunno. Certain bands did equally consistent B-sides where they became popular only semi-inadvertently - unlike those "double A-side" reissue 45s.
I think of "Dear God" / "Grass" by XTC.Virtually every Smiths single known to man.Elvis Costello had a long streak of fantastic flips (including "Peace Love and Understanding" being the B-side of Nick Lowe's "American Squirm," if memory serves)
Placebo and Siouxsie both have marvellously experimental B-sides that, in some cases, outstrip their A-side equivalents for sheer interesting/expansive listening, if not necessarily top-shelf longevity. People say the same of Blur, but I was never a big fan, so...
