When the site returns, sadly there will be some data loss, possibly substantial. This mainly affects torrents which are/were on the site, not users' statistics.
We will be going back to a database backup from the 9th of January, stats since then have been lost.
Unfortunately, we need to go back much further for the torrents and ones uploaded after December 21st will need to be reuploaded.
While we realise this will be a major inconvenience, it is the best we can do.
We're sorry for the downtime but please bear with us. This is not going to be a quick fix, expect at least a day of downtime.

OPP Staff

While on that channel I mentioned the above mentioned problem and was
asked to make a screenshot of the upload screen (link below). While I
was talking to the person helping me out another person with the nick
TMT on the channel wrote "Do you want account?". Since I already had
an account at Oink and did not need another one I said "No. I dont
need another account cuz I already have one. Thanks." After that TMT
said "you wouldnt have the account for long." And then I was thrown
off that channel. I tried logging on the website but it said my
account has been disabled. I went to the IRC channel after changing my
ip but TMT was not there anymore and I was told by others on the
channel because I had misbehaved with the admin. After a while, I was
again thrown off from #oink-help and since then I havent been able to
join the channel. I read the rules on the site and it says in case
account is banned I need to contact a mod on the IRC channel but since
I am not able to join the channel I don't know how to ask for
reconsideration about the enabling of my account.

Firstly I did not know he was an admin. Secondly, I did not say
anything bad to him. He asked me for an account, I said no cuz I
thought he was asking if I need a new account or an invite or
something and I did not need either of them. People on the chat
channel told me that TMT had asked me if I wanted my existing account
and I had answered NO to that question so my account is disabled.

I am sure this is due to the language differences as english is not my
first-language and I must have understood him wrong. Please do not
disable my account at Oink's due to this misunderstanding. I would
apologise to TMT if I have been disrespectful to him or anyother admin
but let me assure you it was never my intent or purpose.

All I want from someone here is to tell me how to contact an admin so that I can tell him my case and request him to enable my account...it would be great if someone here could help me with this..I really need that oink account back..
