Have seen a review of this and just wondering if anyone else has read it? (Its prob not out over here but I'm intending to pick this up someday.)

No, but I did read this piece that alluded to the term and was quite interested.

(The piece, incidentally, is a real real real good one for ILM kids to read.)

Yeah I'm quite a regular reader of his blog so I've been following his name changes over these months - that was a v fine post. I've never come across the term 'totalism' before, not that it matters bcz he's into metametrics these days.

Oh yes, I have no idea whatsoever what "totalism" means, but I thought it applied nicely to the whole genre-naming debate in general.

Thanks for the link, I'll give that a read and probably pick the book up later today, looks pretty great.

I do love delaurenti's column - I think I spent two or three days reading nothing else but months worth of articles, he's so accessible and knows his shit!
