What's the Basics for Mami Bass?

Hello.

I need a list of names to investigate in order to get into mami bass - I'm already completely obsessed with early 80s electro (Bambaataa/Jonzun Crew/Mann Parish/Newcleus/Freestyle) and I'm wanting to get to know Maimi Bass better. I understand it kind of dovetailed off with Egyptian Lover, who I think is aces.

Anyway, If anyone could recommend some names and lists of years active for Mami Bass artists 198x - present I'd be super happy.

You might also want to search for the name Pappawheelie on google, since he is very knowledgeable on the subject and is writing a book on it. He also did at least one radio show on miami bass which you might be able to find on a certain bird-related file-sharing network.

Follow the blue bird, and you will be able to visit Papawheelie's museum, it's worth the visit.
