According to The Times, if soft rock is the new punk,The Feeling are its Sex Pistols:

This band is brilliant. So much better than Scissor Sisters or Toploader.

Seeing The Feeling and Orson performing so well in the charts brings hope for music again.

Alright Geir I can understand why YOU would like The Feeling, naff as they are they pen a mean (ie- catchy) and highly conventional melody/harmony... but Orson? Tsk tsk.

So much better than Scissor Sisters or Toploader.

That wouldn't exactly be an achievement would it?

That viral marketing at the start of the thread really did the business, huh.

Eh, it's a decent Beatlesque ballad, and it follows a solid formula (sweet vocals, thoughful lyrics, gorgeous backup singers, sexy electric guitars, seductive piano, orgasmic rise in intensity, dynamic range compression). I'm sure Jet, Oasis, and the Black Crowes would all be proud to call it their own. I give it three out of five asterisks.
