His Octet disc intrigues bcz the line-up has these old/new improvisers (as well as ppl i've no idea abt) and I find any CD-long compositions that are based on some literary work to be total gold from beginning to end ("Pulse Shadows"/ "Opening of the Mouth" for classical music). Something to knit all the ends together, to focus any composing that in turn sharpens the improv will work to its advantage (and ours).

I was intrigued by the rave review at Dusted (A Few Incidences), so I searched his last name here at ILM. Why am I not surprised to find a Julio thread?

I haven't heard a note of this, but I'll look for it now...
