Aaron Dilloway’s no longer in Wolf Eyes?!?

A review in January’s The Wire of some super-limited edition Dilloway vinyl thing noted that he’s a FORMER member of Wolf Eyes. Anybody know: (a) When he left? (b) Why?

Way I heard it, he left because he didn't like touring, but he'll still be involved in recording with them. This was around May, perhaps? Live lineup is now Nate Young, John Olson, Mike Connelly.

I talked with him Friday. He left the band because he went to Nepal, and now he's doing solo work. He's still recording Wolf Eyes, and producing their next album, and said he'd be playing with them live occassionally (like, at their next show), but that he wasn't part of the driving writing force behind the band anymore.
(Oh, and I picked up the absolute last copy of the vinyl... Woo.)

Yeah I saw Wolf Eyes in New York about a year ago and was surprised to see that they were with the guy from Hair Police (Prurient opened). Now that I've been back I saw that Dilloway has played a house party in Kalamazoo that I missed and I saw him last week in Birmingham playing with a band who's name I forgot. The thing is, he's one of the best one's to see live.

Yeah, but I asked him when the next album was coming out and he laughed and said "Not for a long time."

(Also, he's all clean-shaven and his hair is all close-cropped. He looked like a junior business man in his button-up shirt).

He did play with Olson at that high school show in Birmingham. It was more spooky loops with horns rather than an all-out noise assault. Good show.

This is VERY old news - probably well over a year old

and Gene Krupa and stence are totally wrong here. Dillo is the man, no doubt about it, but Olson is kinda the heart of Wolf Eyes, for me anyway, and don't forget it was Nate who started the band to begin with.
