one year passes...
A year or so later and this album still kicks me in the head as much as it did then.

Ha ha, nu-ILX format is so confusing. I thought this was a new thread.

Yes, I am still shooken when it comes on the random.

Can't wait for Benjamin's solo project - coming out in April!

Still the most underrated 2006 record, yes. A, JAS is one of THE classic break-up songs.

the first half is really strong. i tend to skip the last couple.

nah, it's 6 and 7 that are the duff tracks, 1000 Seconds is great, although it would be nicer if they got rid of the two before it and then actually made it 16:40 in length.

Really, it's like some land speed record was set in their devolution from critic's darling to Who?

I like electric blue eyes but find the rest boring really.

Everyone says that one half of the album is better than the other, but thing is, no one can ever agree on which half of the album.

Anyway, do you know what I've got in my bag? White label test pressing of Benjamin Curtis's solo project's first single. School of Seven Bells. "My Cabal" coming out on Sonic Cathedrals records - remix by Robin Guthrie. Oh it's good, it's so good.

The rest of you are going to have to wait until 9th April to hear it tee hee hee!

"Daddy's In The Doldrums" == best track, especially when played at ear-splitting volume

tissp, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 14:55 (nineteen years ago)

The Alternate big-drums version of Daddy's In The Doldrums with the crazy Santana beats remains one of the best things they have ever released. Oh, it's soo gooooood!

DITD = oh noes we has ripped off 'First Wave Intact' and we has only made it good when teh fat riff kicks in after five minutes of hmmmmmm.

Still, it's better than 6 and 7 which are UGH.

unfished business, Tuesday, 27 February 2007 15:00 (nineteen years ago)

Anyway, SCHOOL OF SEVEN BELLS SINGLE!!! You know you all want this, right?

Out on 9th April. Just in time for my birthday.

So that's why I liked it
